Because the "evidence" Craig presented was forged: a fake draft of the whitepaper using fonts that didn't exist, produced on Microsoft word (when the whitepaper was produced via LaTeX), could not corroborate any history of the early Bitcoin client, does not control the email addresses known to belong to satoshi, and could not produce any keys or signatures using the keys known to belong to satoshi
