BMW M5 did not even make it into the top three. The best-selling cars of the BMW M division have been named

In 2024, the BMW M division achieved a new record, selling 206,587 cars, which is 2.1% more than the previous year.

This result includes both full-fledged M models and M Performance cars. Among all cars sold, the electric BMW i4 M50 was the leader for the third year in a row, but in the segment of "purebred" M versions, the BMW M2 (G87) took first place.

The BMW M2 became the most popular model among real M cars. The BMW M3 and BMW M4 took second and third place. The new BMW M5 (G90 and G99), sales of which began only in November, did not make it into the top three, which is explained by the late start and a higher price compared to other models.

In total, BMW sold 66,805 full-fledged M cars in 2024, which is 8% more than in 2023. Demand for the BMW M2 increased by 64% after the Life Cycle Impulse update.
