Demand for the M5 wagon exceeded BMW's expectations

The BMW concern has increased production of the M5 family for the US market and revised the supply structure. As BMW M Sales Vice President Silvia Neubauer told the BMW Blog, this was done because demand for the five-door version of the M5 exceeded the concern's expectations.

Initially, it was assumed that during the entire life cycle of the M5 production, the wagon would take up only about a third of the volume. However, based on the formed demand for the five-door model, BMW increased the share of the wagon in production to half.

The BMW M5 wagon version was released in August last year. It is equipped with the same 727-horsepower power plant as the sedan, and is capable of accelerating to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds. In the US, the price of the wagon starts at $121,500 (about 10 million rubles) - only 2 thousand more expensive than the sedan.
