BMW M5 in a new five-door body caused a stir in the market

According to the top manager, BMW initially planned that two-thirds of the BMW M5 production would be sedans, and the remaining third would be station wagons.

However, sales of the BMW M5 Touring turned out to be higher than the manufacturer expected, and as a result, a decision was made to redistribute production. Now its volume is divided in half between the sedan and the station wagon.

Recall that serial production of the BMW M5 Touring station wagon started in November 2024 at the BMW plant in the German city of Dingolfing. It became the third BMW M-series car with a hybrid drive M Hybrid, which combines a powerful high-speed V8 engine and an electric drive. In total, its power plant produces 727 horsepower.
