The pressure which youths are facing in the country is extreme. Since 2015 when the political party APC took over, Nigeria has seen nothing but a 5x increase on a lot of things, even the people are not helping matters. A person who earned 300k monthly in 2019 is better than a person earning 1.5m monthly in 2024, and itā€™s getting worse by the day. Tribalism, religion, classism, poverty mindset, illiteracy, bad leadership. These things have been our problem since independence, but it has penetrated our roots even more in this generation, weā€™re literally watching it all unfold in 3D. An average Nigerian is going to be on ā€œhustle modeā€ for the rest of their lives if we keep going like this. I fear for another civil war, i hope that doesnā€™t come to pass again. Many do their best to onboard more people into crypto, forex etc. iā€™m grateful for these things, theyā€™ve saved more people here. 1/2

This has gone beyond inflation and recession, most people have gotten to the point where they are willing to destroy their neighbor just for them to gain. Every price on things is different the next week or month. I hope the different tribes have realized our personal mistakes too in the bad governance and are ready to come together for the greater good?! As the Muslims observe Ramadan and the Christians observe the Lent, we pray for a better and safer country. 2/2 The tweet: https://x.com/thekharacta/status/1897560164498059532?s=46&t=yjQnT5bnbwaUnEDInoFkUQ

Sadly but you are just saying the truth. I hope by 2027, we will have received sense and do the right thing.

The economy in Nigeria is so bad that even if you earn N1Million monthly, you are still poor.

Lmao yesterday I was hit with depression because of the way things currently are but even worse when I woke up found out data plan has x2. I was like WTF now no job but just imagine after 4 years of going to school just to come out you canā€™t even live life. Fuel food electricity and now data subscription plan has increased like never before. Then they except crime to not increase. Very foolish set of government. I just hate it here.

The fact that James represents the large population and not a small percentage shows that weā€™re truly in a serious situation. When my Nigerian friends and I are gisting at uni no matter how the conversation starts we always end up talking about how bad the situation is at home and how everyone is looking for a way out. I fear for my post graduation life and learning so many ways to have a side income in case my plans do not work out. I pray for every Nigerian youth and i hope the next election brings good news but with the way things are i highly doubt it.

Itā€™s depressing seeing folks in your age bracket from another country doing average well with the minimum and youā€™re here doing all you can and itā€™s like youā€™re still not getting it . Whatā€™s more depressing is seeing folks defend politicians, telling me I donā€™t understand politics . Itā€™s sad and tiring bro .
