Fr though, not a funny joke. Imagine flirting with a woman by referring to her as a future rape victim. Talking about annexing a sovereign nation is not funny to us.

When we decided to support Canada, someone from Canada said this joke to me (saying if I didn’t support it soon they’d just be part of the US). Didn’t come up with this, a Canadian did.

I honestly don't care where you heard the joke, I'm telling you how it feels to me and others right now who are actively experiencing hostility from the US government with a very uncertain future of escalation. It might sound funny to you, but it's very hostile to me as a Canadian living in Canada.

One more note, in case it's not clear: Canadians aren't boycotting American businesses and cancelling our visits to the US because of the stupid tariffs.
