Share a time when you thought your child was never going to learn X and how they overcame it

My child was afraid of water, so learning to swim was really challenging. I tried to show them that the ocean and water aren't scary by watching movies with aquariums or oceans together. Even when we went to the beach, we didn’t rush into the water, just wore swimsuits and watched from the shore, giving them time to get comfortable. Then one day, they asked to sign up for swim lessons, and now they absolutely love water. I think giving children time and patience is really important.

That's true, but there are many days when waiting is really hard. Every night, I write a parenting journal to keep myself in check, hoping to calm my impatient heart a bit.
