Really enjoying this. I love his work. I always return to Vrioon which he created with Ryuichi Sakamoto. Sublime.

Completely understand and respect this. Some music requires a more active state of listening for me. In fact, for things like this I often switch to different high end headphones and geek out with a DAC and MQA audio. It is spatial — headphones feel like a place I go. The ritual is a bit like the roji path leading to the tea ceremony.

I love his work too. However, it’s in this category for me, of albums I listen to a few times but don’t come back to much. Not because I dislike them. But because they require really active and focused listening. So they almost feel more like reading a novel, I guess. This is definitely one of those albums for me. Torturously slow to build up (in a good way!), and I can only feel that effect if I devote my full attention to it
