I love public transit as much as any New Yorker

but I’m going to take a car from EWR to Brooklyn almost every time

yeah normally we don't but we had United credits that we needed to use and the only good flights to LAX were from EWR :/

heh - I get that...my last 2 flights were using a rolled over Alaska Airlines credit that was JUST enough to make the haul worth it. The worst is when you have a car and want to be the friend picking up people visiting...and they fly into EWR!

You have a car in the city? Where do you live?

I was in Greenpoint for the last 12 years, but moved to Queens (Sunnyside Gardens) a year ago. Over by McGlorick Park [was] super low key with a lot of street parking. Funny enough, I would see Action Bronson waiting in his car on an almost weekly basis. A man of the people!
