4y should be sleeping pretty well. How many hours does your 8m old sleep before waking up to feed, etc? Our second child didn’t sleep through the night until 14-16 mo old and even then it was sometimes 5-6 hrs and other times 10-11 hrs. My kids are now 10y and 13y and they sleep pretty soundly although the 10 yr old still wants us to sleep with her in her bed. 😴

our sleeping arrangement is that i put the 8mo to sleep and wife takes care of the 4yo. then we switch and she sleeps with her and i sleep close (different room) to the older. it's pretty ok for us, wife handles sleep interruptions pretty well, i don't. currently, however, 4yo is sick and wakes up (and me) randomly. losing sleep is not doing great things to me and i am writing this from the doctor's waiting room πŸ˜…

Ohh I remember that now; a high temp for a baby or 4 yr old is like a low grade fever for adults. We brought our kids to the doctor’s office frequently when they were your kids’ ages. Hope your 4yo gets better soon. πŸ™πŸ½ Before we had kids, my wife could sleep 10-12 hours on the weekends regularly. She had a tough time acclimating to little or broken sleep. I could handle it better, but not by much. For us, we got a bit more sleep as the kids got older but not nearly as much as before we had them. One thing that helped my wife and I was a book the pediatrician recommended Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child. https://books.google.com/books/about/Healthy_Sleep_Habits_Happy_Child_5th_Edi.html?id=ciU6EAAAQBAJ
