I think you can get away with it once or twice itβs ok but if you make a habit of it then itβs unhealthy and no good comes of it. π

i think we can agree on that. *but*, my original point was about problems we solve by *ignoring* them. very common occurrence on social networks and in real life too - e.g. ignoring annoying people is way more effective (bud so hard to do) than anything else. trolls feed on engagement, no matter how negative it is.

Again yes and no. Internet trolls yeh of course you donβt feed them. U can mute. But IRL ghosting and dramatic blocking is not a very adult or kind behaviour. State your problem with them clearly. Then ignore. Anything else can build a problem. Right?

i'm still not sure how that contradicts the original cast, sorry π i agree that most of the time you should be proactive, but not all the time. in some cases, it's a trap (engagement farmers, politicians, advertising...)
