A physician who has treated thousands of variations of a pathology is a different breed than one who just writes papers about them having barely seen any. 

Social media thankfully has been a leveler in this regard, but its still a misconception that needs attention.

I would trust @farmerboy with my health over any physician at Harvard or Stanford or Hopkins any day. He will recognize it near instantly, with doing less testing, less costs and get me home and well faster.

I have zero respect for a researcher, perched in an ivory tower publishing thousands of papers,  who publicly tells a practicing clinician, who spends their day caring for patients, that they are a "nobody" because they have not published a paper.
