Is there any biomarker for measuring how keto adapted one is?

I would imagine a good measure would be relative Bet-hydroxybutyrate levels starting from a baseline of pre keto to post keto adaptation. Especially if you add in glucose levels (essentially the ratio of BHB to glucose) to monitor how much h the body is shunting BHB towards BHB-Phe. Now if you can measure BHB-Phe, that would be dope. The other Ofcourse is mitochondria, but that’s not possible yet.

Thanks for the detailed answer. How many research breakthroughs stand in the way of us being able to measure mitochondrial function?
