What exactly can we call verifiable compute? Most signatures/attestations introduce trust over the signers or issuers. PoS relies on honest majority assumptions, even ZK needs some trust setup. Is there something that can be truly trustless, or are we just minimizing the trust?

Verifiable Credentials is W3C spec that dives into this topic. Two key components are authentication and verification.

Yes, but the entire concept of Verifiable Credential relies on the trust over credential issuer. How do we then eliminate that trust too?
