some SEOs are really going through it right now it's tough, but that informational query traffic is never coming back (no matter what Google does) users don't want to click the links, they want a quick answer

We cannot without breaking up Google and Facebook and treating the internet like a public utility which is never going to happen. Google used to be a benefit to websites, but it's now just stealing their content. In the short term that's good for users because they get answers faster, but ultimately it is shortsighted.

Google and Facebook make targeted advertising so easy and effective and no one will ever go back to the old models of advertising on websites, which has made the internet so much worse because people can't afford to create media. Now AI is coming to suck the internet dry and the internet will get even worse so the AI answers will get worse and we will just end up with bots on bots on bots.
