I Took a Photo!

I took a photo with Pharrell.
I was working an event in Miami and I saw him and I am not paparazzi so I asked him for a photo. He said no and I was disappointed cause I was a huge fan back in the day, but I got it. I told him I was a fan and that I grew up in VA and we had some mutuals and stuff and so he told me I could take a picture with him. I pulled out my 35mm point and shoot and snapped this, pretty funny photobomb in the back. I never take photos of myself with celebs, but I had to do it this time. 
About an hour I am standing outside waiting for my friends and he's out there waiting on a car and he came up to me out of nowhere to say bye and thank me for being cool about not taking his photo. Very cool.

I did eventually get to take his photo for real with Michael Rappaport at a private after party for the A Tribe Called Quest documentary premiere at Tribeca Film Fest. It's a lot easier to get celebs to take photos when you are the only person there with a camera.

That’s the kinda thing you do subconsciously after taking a billion photos. I’m sure I shifted six inches to the right to line that up without even thinking about it.
