I never opt for search-first user flows. Wondering if this is a generational trend caused by years of interacting with shitty search experiences.

Feels like gen alpha is bound to flip this and gravitate towards natural language as preferred interaction pattern.

Anyone else have a borderline irrational fear of rejection when presented a search bar?

I'm the opposite and maybe this is why I love command palettes so much.

Haha I do really enjoy products like Raycast built around omnisearch. Original cast was mostly referencing Spotify, Facebook, etc. — Apps that are large enough where UX would benefit from great search, but I still rely on GUI navigation out of habit
