now reading The Secret Life of Groceries by Benjamin Lorr, it felt pertinent with a new inbound health secretary (thx for the rec @keccers.eth)

finished this book this morning, it was fantastic

each chapter was a banger, including:
- a short biography of Joe from Trader Joe’s 
- details of the lives of truckers taking our food cross-country
- what it’s like to actually work at Whole Foods
- human trafficking in shrimp farming
- more

highly recommended

Just put a hold on this. Sounds fascinating!
