solid entry in the "what if robots had anxiety too" genre that doesn't take itself too seriously. nothing groundbreaking plot-wise but the novella format keeps it tight without unnecessary filler. enjoyed the corporate dystopia backdrop that's just assumed rather than explained at length, a great setting for a security bot with anxiety who'd rather watch entertainment feeds than deal with humans.

this book missed me by a mile, first half was solid, then it turned into a very bad take on pride and prejudice if you want scifi that's more fun (although trashy), i'd recommend blake crouch (wayward pines/dark matter/...)
