This is 💯 and so good, so no shade at all. 

But…we have set the bar so comically low to be a “great” VC. Just “showing up”, responding to emails, and doing what you say you’ll do and you’ll be every founders’ favorite VC.

Every time I get to see the @sequoia process I’m reminded of what “great” looks like.

The truth it isn’t complicated. Some notes:

1. Make the calls you say you will
2. Schedule the meetings you say you will on time
3. If you ask for the data room, actually look at the data room

Totally. 

And this is coming from someone who’s worked in VC for nearly a decade and currently works at a VC firm.

It’s a ridiculously low bar. Three worst’s experiences I’ve ever had in commercial situations: 

1 - VC 
2 - Investment Banker 
3 - Interior Designer 

Amazing how some just don’t do what they say they are going to do when they say they’re going to do it 😵‍💫🤷🏻‍♂️

for real, just being reliable goes a long way. we need more vcs who actually engage and follow through. it's not that hard, lol.
