I think you would be surprised.  Think about it, back then, traditional animation was hundreds and thousands of frame by frame hand drawn frames by artists.

I imagine some of those animators got bored and slapped some adult humor in Disney animations and films.  There are actually hidden adult connotations in many older Disney films (likely can only see this on VHS at this point as they would have been phased out).

I am willing to bet this was legit at one point, but likely corrected as time went on.
