About AI I think you can let her play with specific modules within ChatGPT where you put safeguards, simply get GPT do its magic i.e lets it teach about itself ELI5 For coding, i think it’s best to have a solid grasps of math operators and then basic logical statements. Not a parent but was a beginner coder.

We play around with AI as a fun tool first. Ask questions, ask to draw things. It’s now quite a normal part of the work flow. I also love these books by Linda to share the world of code with kids through stories https://www.amazon.com/Books-Linda-Liukas/s?rh=n%3A283155%2Cp_27%3ALinda+Liukas

At 5yo it's best to learn things in cooperation with a parent or other significant adult. It doesn't make much sense to just give them a new "toy" like gptchat and expect they'd be passionate about it. Let alone making sure to avoid adult contents. Everything in that age is a play, so don't take it seriously and just try playing together with your 5yo with this new exciting tech. That's a first step. Then be consistent, that's a second step, so the child has this pattern that "every day we have like 15 minutes of playing with AI" Then just see what happens. If they express passion about that new "toy", then level up. If not, then take a break, maybe it's just too early and frustrating for them It's a win-win cuz you get quality time with your child and teach them stuff you feel important at the same time. Also, it's never too late to learn AI but when they're 10 it's too late to have most impactful parent-child time cuz they spend more time with their peers rather than adults
