I can't figure out why anyone would want to use them. * Local passkeys: device gone, access lost forever. * Cloud backup: potential CIA backdoor and black market data leak. * Password manager: just use a password bro.

1Password is the shit tho. as a startup cofounder i had to manage 100s of credentials, many of which were rotated regularly. it was tough sometimes even using their tools

Secret rotation is tricky, because you need to synchronize resources that you don't always control properly. 1Password has this Connect server which is pretty cool to automate stuff. https://developer.1password.com/docs/connect
