micropayments are the future. 

Farcaster was first (again)

working on infra to displace adtech at /microsub • dance music lover + host of /campfire 🎧

yet, at scale outside of utility paid for in micro-transactions,  they have not worked historically in other areas

that’s because they weren’t possible 

you can’t charge $0.05 to a credit card

i should add: even though we have the tech now, there’s still a cold start (chicken/egg, market/network-creation) problem to be solved
