Anecdotally, using cursor has been an insane unlock (shout out to my claude boys)

But think it most benefits those who understand semantics but not syntax. Ie. technical folks without SME in languages / frameworks 

If you’re a total newbie though, AI gives you a crazy foot gun (for now, I expect it will get even better)

the people who are saying ai can basically replace software engineers:

1. people who aren’t software engineers 
2. software engineers who have only worked on trivial problems
3. charlatans and attention-mongers

yep exactly. i just think people underestimate how difficult software is, and overestimate ai's capabilities

remember: the program that solves a problem in the real world has to be AT LEAST as complex as the real world problem. since our code isn't perfect, well, that means the code is actually more complex. bummer

real. tbh ai can currently only replace someone you’d typically contract if you wanna do the work yourself lol. most don’t. 

but we do all know that ai will become increasingly effective with time
