this is such a poignant counter to hustle culture…i don’t fully understand why everyone is so eager to conflate working hours and personal sacrifice with the very nondeterministic factors that lead to “success”

you need to hustle for a long time to build something great 

you just might not get recognized for it as quickly as you hope

i guess i think quality execution is much more important than effort in (hustle), but still plays a smaller role in some extremely successful outcomes than many of us want to believe
