Ran my first race in about a year today for the a village track meet in Okinawa. 

1500m. Clocked in at 5:04.5.

Not a time to write home about, but very light competition so it was a race against myself.

Best thing was making some new friends with the local athletes.

I can't do those super long distances like you can with my mile-a-day training, so local track meets are a sweet spot.
