I also think the same. Ethereum has had network effects in the past, but now it is just a few big isolated rollups. We need sync or at least async composability ASAP - to bring network effects and new developers. Let's give a concrete example: Assume you're an app builder on Base and have built a stablecoin wallet. Base has everything you need to attract new users and create distribution channels for your stablecoin product. However, when you want to go beyond just p2p transfers and implement Ethena products into your app, you simply can't. You need to go multichain first, which is not possible without extra trust assumptions. If you're a Smart Contract wallet, then the situation is worse than EOAs. https://x.com/mteamisloading/status/1868365011397296169

Ethereum is good, but it would be much better if there could be a way to have these networks work together, creating network effects and welcoming new developers. Solution? Now, Ethereum is the best place to launch a rollup - you simply get the potential to have liquidity from L1 and the Ethereum community's support. This is why there are tons of rollups atm. However, normally, if there's a protocol (Ethereum) that is gaining users (rollups), it would benefit from its network effects. Lack of interop simply blocks Ethereum to get network effects from Rollups on the top of it. Based Rollups, Native Rollups or Enshrined Rollups, I dont care about the definitions, I just think that we need the composability ASAP, not 5 years later. And this should be provided by L1 itself, no extra companies please.
