EIP to validate passkeys on-chain with a precompile: https://eips.ethereum.org/EIPS/eip-7212#motivation This would be huge for AA wallets. I'm curious if anyone has a pulse on how likely this is to pass, seems like there's usually a lot of contention around adding precompiles.

Can anyone give the tl;dr on the resistance to precompiles? Signature verification seems like a basic primitive eg cosmwasm includes them for ecdsa and ed25519

It was very simple to get the more precompiles in the early days of Ethereum, when anyone used them. Following that, Ethereum core developers chose to just add the precompiles if they were sure in their usefullness. Main blocker is this.
