Are there incentives associated with running a farcaster hub?

In the case of a validator, block rewards... Fast access to the data set is a good one. There doesn't have to be a built in economic incentive but it is a nice feature to be able to break even or be profitable providing hub service to a group of users.

Yeah, that's why I was curious. There doesn't seem to be any obvious/clear solutions yet.. Any thinking around censorship resistance of hubs? Some incentive or disincentive to hubs choosing to censor specific messages?

Most app developers will run a hub, in the same way that every crypto exchange runs a node, so I’m not too worried about a shortage of hubs. 

No financial incentives since we haven’t found one that can’t be easily gamed
