too many countries are trying to attract tech by focusing too much on making visas easy to get and not enough on making themselves functional and livable. i believe that cities which prioritize functionality and safety, with low crime and a high quality of life, will ultimately thrive—but how many such places actually exist? people visiting singapore and being spellbound by its appeal is a testament to the fact that while visa policies are important, the overall functionality and quality of life of a city are crucial for making a lasting impression.

SG somehow has been differently running. The govt has ensured their citizens/permanent residents are not impacted by this saturation. their housing, education and healthcare policies are quite different from what expats are offered.
