A user asked some great questions about @baselinemarkets and wanted to take the time to answer publicly. I think Baseline is one of the coolest systems being built in crypto, but I don't think many understand wtf we're doing. So I'll start with a bit of context. The concept of IL is a bit incomplete on its own. You have to look at it as "inventory risk", how much risk are you taking on for holding this position vs holding spot. Further, it is a very profit-seeking human way of looking at LPing. In context of the BMM, is not only a market maker, it is also the issuer and originator of the asset. It is *completely fine* holding the token forever, therefore, 0 inventory risk. Its a smart contract, with its sole job to ensure the health of the market, via providing liquidity in the pool, lending, and supporting price. so to answer the questions:

There's an opportunity for a basic B2B crypto product around sending USDC as investments or other large payments you want record-keeping for. Most likely a feature but could be a simple product. I should never have to paste in an ETH address into a wallet. The sender should be sending me a verified link with a button. Upon completing the payment, the service would send emails to both parties with a receipt including the transaction hash. Also could use Coinbase API to allow each incoming payment to go to a new address that gets consolidated in the custodial balance. Creates receiver privacy. Could integrate @veilanon, too. Below is a Mercury payment link for fiat payments. This, but for crypto.

Have had a lot more external calls over the last few weeks (haha! business). My assorted talking points about Farcaster that have seemed to resonate the most with people: Farcaster is Singapore,small population but high GDP Every user has a wallet The algo doesn't down rank links You can earn money for posting without a big audience Everything is programmable It's a decentralized protocol under-the-hood

It fuels me when people dismiss what I'm working on. Just means there's an opportunity others don't see yet. Many dismissed when I joined Coinbase in 2014. Feel the same joining Farcaster in 2025 with opportunity cost of running my own business. Take big swings when you see it :)
