Day one: my brother, cousin Trevor (in pic), and my sister and her bf brought over four barge loads of lumber. Saw a rainbow and stacked wood. Sorting and organizing lumber now will make the build quicker is what I’m told from my uncle Pat 🌈 🪵

Day two we finished up the barge hauls. Today we built out the base of the cabin and laid the sub flooring. Lots of crowning and star bit drilling. Uncle Josh is leading the cousin crew

I relate all software activities with how a home is built, from beneath the ground to the stuff between the walls, all the way to the last ridge tile, shingle, or panel(s).

Thank you! It’s a nice change of architecting and building to what I’m used to. I’ve been lining 2x4s up with the same cut lengths and preparing measurements before cutting with a skillsaw to be more efficient. Been having fun and hope people enjoy hearing about this project as a change of pace to their feeds lol

I used to build / remodel homes and spaces. Miss some of that kinda work.

The fact that you have to boat raw materials in is wild and such a different process.
