When I started calling Farcaster a “user-owned social network” people started to take interest.

…mainly people who have butt against the constraints of a private social network like X.

It’s likely more of those people will be created as the OG social networks start to flex their power.

We deserve better.

Facebook has over 1B users participating in Groups. What is missing from these groups is ownership and shared upside for participating and growing the community or group.

If they also find a way to align user growth with a shared upside, things will accelerate FAST.  This is where the case for a token could be made...
