So, as one of my side projects, I'm working on a board game. 😀 Starting as cheap as I can on materials and work on the mechanics of the game.  I'm starting with index cards, some plastic coin collector (for character pieces), colored labels (for cards requirements).

What cheap (other) resources would you use?

I'm also re-using art from one of my other side projects, so I should be able to show some cool stuff and card layouts. Also found a handy figma template for cards, which I'll likely use as a base.

My suggestion is use tabletopia ASAP, once you know the core components.

At GenCon there is a vendor for parts (pay for a bag and fill it with a variety of game pieces). I picked up a ton of pieces (extra of the Terraforming Mars denominations, for example).

I steal parts from other games to make a Franken-game. Money, chits, die... Looks rough but quick!
