Thinking of copping Ticket to Ride for game night this Wednesday, any strong recommendations? I also recently bought Dubious (haven’t opened yet) off a recommendation from a friend who professionally plays + streams board games. cc @ispeaknerd.eth https://warpcast.com/serendipity/0x74819391

I admit that I haven't played Ticket to Ride in many years, but if you're looking for a decent entry level game, TTR fits the bill. 7 Wonders also hits a sweet spot of being easy to pick up, some strategy, and good flexibility on the number of players. I guess it depends on what you're looking for. My assumption is that you're looking for something that can be easily taught and learned. I have different games for different crowds. :-) I've never played Dubious, but looks to be more of a social game. For social games, Code Names gets out a fair bit. I've heard good things about Decrypto....been meaning to try that out. If you're looking for social deduction (like Werewolf), my enthusiastic recommendation is Blood on the Clock tower. You don't even need to purchase it - look for the rules online and print them off. The downside is that you need someone running it...but it genuinely is fun and interesting.
