This is a good take from @trach. Pasting it in full here since he sadly doesn't seem to be active on Farcaster --- [1/2] In low bandwidth text-based comms platforms like X so much of the poor sense-making and polarized (actually manufactured) conflict is due to hidden context. We become the blind debating the blind as PvP participants lack access or interest into the true worldview or value structures of our interlocutors (the medium doesn’t support nuance). Most often we over-focus on our own reference frames and end up shadow boxing our projections rather than entering a valuable dialectic. My feeling is this dynamic is at the root of the Solana vs Ethereum debate. Solana seems to be executing beautifully towards what I feel is a local maxima in blockchain utility.

[2/2] For where we are today, it can look like the promised land for many participants that prioritize fast transactions and UX for DeFi. But this is only a *local maxima* and the *global maxima* for blockchain is a WAY WAY bigger vision. This is Ethereum’s vision. There are very few people in the world that can really see this future, @sreeramkannan is one of them. For me, and most of my community, we are not satisfied with climbing small mountains. We’re going to the top. Not because it’s cool or makes us money (though that’s nice) but because we are playing a global, long-term game for much higher stakes and nothing but the highest summit will do. https://x.com/tracheopteryx/status/1840475337559322893
