I love Steve Zaillian but why would he want to adapt THE TALENTED MR. RIPLEY when Minghella already did it perfectly back in '99? And why would he cast a dead eyed charisma vacuum as the lead? The Freddie Miles casting is good though -- no one can outdo Hoffman, so Zaillian gives us something completely different.
