Salvador Felipe Jacinto DalĂ Domènech (Spanish: Salvador Felipe Jacinto DalĂ Domènech; May 11, 1904 â January 23, 1989) was a Spanish surrealist painter. DalĂ was a skilled draftsman who is best known for creating haunting, imaginative images in his surrealist works. In painting, he is often attributed to the influence of Renaissance painters.[1] Salvador DalĂ's most famous work, The Persistence of Memory, was created in 1931. He also worked in photography, sculpture, and filmmaking. He collaborated with Walt Disney on the Academy Award-winning animated short Destino, which was released posthumously in 2003. DalĂ also collaborated with Alfred Hitchcock on the film The Enchanted (1945).
