Humans are wired to need nature. Biologist EO Wilson'd concept of "biophilia" suggests we have an innate affinity for the natural world, likely because our survival depended on it for so long. Our deep-seated connection to nature means that being in natural environments can have a profound calming effect on our minds.

I never really appreciated this until last year. Last year I was fortunate enough to have some extended time off and spent practically all of it outside and away from my desk job. Fixed me right up ❤️
