Was clearing out some stuff and I found a little bit of cash and a necklace from my late grandma. Felt sentimental today and protected by her. 

In Lao culture (one part of where I’m from) the dead person prepares funeral arrangements in advance by giving cash to the attendees. It’s to help with transportation, organizing the funeral, etc. I remembered I had the necklace but not the cash, and that was a nice reminder that she still wants to take care of me even in the afterlife.
