Could this incident be fabricated? How likely is it for a group to want to do something and go wrong in this way? How likely is it for one person to manage shoot Trump alone? I don't know, but it's possible that it was coordinated.

You might not personally like the mainstream media but they’re infinitely more reliable than randoms on social media who think they know better than everyone else. Also can do you me a favour and show me where on cnn they said that “he fell?” Were they describing the events that happened or just saying that’s the ONLY thing that happened. There’s a HUGE difference, and the way you’re framing it comes off as being extremely dishonest. Looking forward to you providing a clip :)

I agree... it's popular to hate on the media, and they certainly do get things wrong as everyone does... but in the first moments after the incident almost nothing was known and they were just reporting what they knew. That's the responsible thing to do.

Come one, that’s the same excuse as when they framed the BLM protests as peaceful. Media in the US is highly politicalized and almost never neutral - which goes both ways.

I understand that things are framed in certain ways… the earliest reporting that I saw indicated trump was escorted off stage by secret service after an incident at a rally… developing. I’m pretty sure it was a screenshot from CNN but if not it was one of the others NBC, CBS, ABC etc… Regardless… I don’t see this as nefarious framing but rather the attempt to not spread unsubstantiated rumor before they know what is going on.

Please be honest Dialethia, CNN and many of the news channels you mentioned are Democrats aligned, so of course they would deny anything that could have a positive influence on the election. They did it many times before too. Again Trump is a jerk, but we shouldn’t pretend those outlets are honest or neutral.

I am not a big consumer of programs from those sources personally but pretty much every person and organization of people has some sort of bias. Some are very biased and others less so. I’m not sure what these organizations could be “denying” in an event like this as it is developing. The early coverage I saw seemed to be attempting to report that something had occurred at a rally and Trump was escorted off stage. Then more details were progressively added as more information became known. Not everything is a conspiracy. We still don’t know who this shooter was… maybe it is one. But treating every step as some grand conspiratorial action just does not ring true for me. Also I don’t want to mischaracterize what you are saying… just trying to have an honest dialogue.

I never said CNN is conspiring, but framing - and they are doing it for years. They changed their narrative the moment they couldn’t deny it anymore since two people are dead. Sorry if you felt triggered by „Deep State“, which in my definition is vague. I think we can both agree that the political climate that is weaponizing politics is very very concerning, regardless of who is behind it.
