Nothing like taking time out of your chaotic day to make sure your toddler gets a freshly prepared well balanced meal only to clean it off of the floor 30 minutes later after exactly 0% of went to his mouth

My 17 month old built this with his Legos. I didn't know what it was until he started moving it back and forth across the ground and making his vacuum sounds. He loves brooms mops and especially the vacuum. I was so impressed! The ingenuity! He's destined to one day be a great engineer... or a great janitor! So proud

Not to diminish the draw of downtown. There's plenty to do and the architecture is beautiful/world class. But i think the 'essence' of chicago is in the neighborhoods

Lived in Chicago about 15 years. If you're coming to visit there's lots to do and see downtown but I highly suggest you get out to the neighborhoods: West town, Pilsen, wicker park, Lincoln square... each has it's own character and beauty
