I think this kerfuffle boils down to the difference between social media norms in the US/English-primary-spoken world and social media norms in Eurasia. I feel like if we were to hop on Yandex, or FB in Vietnam, a lot of these 'botty' posts may seem more normalish.🧵

It's like Kabuki Theater, what one culture finds inauthentic, others find earnest. Add onto this: if you're ESL, pithy/high-SNR casting in english may be hard if you don't have killer vocab, so you may default to simple english, posting selfies, etc. Show don't tell.

Overall, I think these are growing pains and a good signal if we can really make Farcaster a global multinational network. Ideally we won't need to Worldcoin-orb everyone to build trust networks, but it would be a shortcut...🤷‍♂️
