Whelp, totally wrong about Abrams M1 tanks to Ukraine.

What's the deal with the jet fuel? And why was this made into such a big contention that seems to have evaporated?

Abrams Tanks run on a jet turbine engine.  And, running a full capacity, need frequent resupply of JP8, Jet Propellant 8, which is basically more refined diesel.  Ever put regular fuel into a car that needs supreme?  There are warrant concerns about logistics and training. A tank with no fuel is not effective.
