It’s really cool at first but is not updated for the next 10 years.

would've been cool but they seem to lack much progress on macos in general

I’m secretly hoping Raycast doesn’t want to sell and says f-y to Apple.

Hmm I could see them expanding spotlight but do they usually aquihire teams to build out their core features?

Hard disagree. I've come to the conclusion that apple delibrately makes some things bad so people can complain about them. Buying raycast means fixing those things. X doubt they ever fix them. Even if they do, it'll be slowly (on feature at a time spread 50 years)

fun to consider… but here’s weakly held rejoinder: Raycast cognitive load beyond the grasp of normie computer users, too much like command line interaction, relies on a strong mental map
