i feel like there's tons of AI code editors and they're all just doing the same tired "we put a chatbox in your editor" approach, maybe sometimes "we'll finish writing the line for you" cursor's "press tab, fix everything" suggestions are MAGIC, i suddenly cant live without them

I think it’s hard to sell AI to developers in general, all my homies hate IDE’s anyway - Vi/Sublime for life, I don’t need AI chirping in dumbass suggestions when I’m busy and I have ZERO interest in explaining an application to an AI and maintaining my codebase in FUCKING English. Imagine having to troubleshoot a logical error by tweaking a text prompt - what a fucking nightmare, no thanks…
