Prople are expecting independent/new media to have the same power as the current media but I think it’s more probable that the final break of trust in the media won’t lead to something that has the near same legitimacy.

Agree. So, I'm developing a new community solution which looks like a power-enhanced for public dapp's dev team, but power-shinked for individual. It's on the Sepolia testnet now: daism.io
