thoughts? i think NFTs in their previous iteration (hype cycle purely "for the art") is probably done. but imo we haven't scratched the surface of NFTs for actual non-fungible utility.

agreed. when my DL, vehicle and home titles are NFTs i’ll know we’ve made it. (said as an artist still actively minting for the art)

I was thinking I remember seeing the BACC nft for $800 in the bear. It makes me think the whole of the bull was pretty much filled with hype from the nft cycle with Beeple. He didn’t kickstart the cycle but he had an impact. Crypto was already going wild… with projects like these I think base and Warpcast can create their own unique ecosystem using NFTs but it’s finding that mechanism to make it happen I think we will but it depends what will happen

The utility of a permissionless global art market hasn't lessened in importance, that's the real potential of NFTs I think, and the communities of people using them that way haven't gone anywhere. The hype cycle and market cycles come and go but for example look at the last bear market, art on Tezos was thriving, fxhash was fun all through the bear, Objkt, Manifold was developed and gained popularity. Now we have easy onchain minting like Efficax and Zero Contract and the stuff on Bitcoin. So, anyway it's just a slow progression. Follow @pocobelli Artist Journal to get a peak into the digital art vanguard as we continue on.
