A left-wing journalist I know on Bluesky was saying that the push around Greenland is clearly related to the VC-backed Network State idea.

Obviously there’s a big crypto connection. What do you guys think of the project? Anyone involved? What does this clearly very skeptical site miss?

The world of crypto guys who want to create sovereign states is a wild thing. What’s the warp/farcast view on those freaks? Are some of them here?

IMO, they are somewhere on a Branch Davidians <> Charter Cities spectrum. Depending on the implementation, they lean one way or the other.

Best case is a net positive research spike finds workable paths benefiting the host society. The worst case is an antisocial extractive circle jerk.
